CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY

With 11 years of post-graduate clinical experience, Kim provides psychological support for individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma and more. His intention is to support his client’s overcome these challenges and lead more balanced lives.

Therapeutic Style: Collaboration is at the heart of Kim’s approach. During initial sessions, you will work together to develop an in-depth understanding of the areas you seek support. Client’s personal goals guide the focus of therapy sessions, and therapy is tailored to the unique needs of each client. He aspires to be compassionate, considered, grounded and focused in his approach.

Therapeutic Approaches: Kim primarily works within a Schema Therapy framework. However, he utilises additional evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Mindfulness-based therapies to complement his work.

How do I book an appointment?

How much does a 50 minute session cost?

Full Fee $265*

*If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) and referral from your GP, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $149.05 per session, for up to ten sessions per calendar year. More information about Mental Health Treatment Plans can be found here.

*There are limited spaces available at a reduced rate (20% discount) for clients with proof of financial hardship i.e. current healthcare card holders or full-time students.

*NDIS client’s fees are inline with the NDIS pricing schedule.

Can I use my private health insurance?

Please check with your health provider if psychology sessions are covered on your policy. Importantly, you cannot claim a session on both Medicare and your private health provider simultaneously.
